Bedrooms
All of our rooms are shared dorms which range from 4 – 16 bed share including many with ensuites. We also 4 bed and 8 bed female only dorms each with private ensuite. Our rooms are spacious, clean with large lockable storage lockers for every guest! Next to every bed is a personal double power socket, plus you can access the free unlimited WiFi from every room.

Bathrooms
Summer House Backpackers has an abundance of showers and toilets available. Our state of the art instantaneous hot water system ensures that hot water is always available and our cleaning team works around the clock to make sure the facilities are clean and ready for use.
Laundry
The Guest Laundry is located on the ground level near reception and is open 24/7. We use commercial-grade machines with washing powder available from Reception.
Kitchen and Dining Area
Summer House Brisbane has a lovely, clean and tidy guest kitchen with gas stove cook tops, microwaves, food storage boxes, toasters and kettles. Why not take your freshly cooked meal to the dining area next to the kitchen to enjoy with new friends. It’s all located on the ground floor. In addition you’ll also find commercial-grade fridges to keep your food cool and fresh plus individual dry food storage shelves.
Rooftop Terrace and Barbecue Area
You won’t find a better view of Brisbane’s famous skyline than from our famous rooftop terrace! With sweeping, unobstructed views of the Brisbane River and Brisbane CBD it is an incredible place to relax on a sun lounge, share a beer with new friends or party into the evening. All of our social events are hosted here – including free Friday BBQs and awesome pre-parties!
Free Unlimited WiFi
We have sophisticated high speed WiFi infrastructure installed throughout the entire hostel to ensure that no area of the hostel is missed. Plus, unlike most other Brisbane hostels, it’s 100% free with no download restrictions! How great is that! We have numerous access points throughout the hostel so you so you can connect and easily stay in touch with friends and family!

Summer House Reception
Our friendly and experienced receptionists are always on hand to help you make the most of your time in Brisbane. They can explain to you the must see sights, tourist attractions and even recommend some hidden gems you won’t find in your travel guides so be sure to take advantage of their wealth of knowledge. The Reception Desk is open 24 hours a day.
TV Room
After a long day of sightseeing, there’s no better way to relax than in our huge and comfortable TV room. We have a huge range of DVDs to enjoy and we host a hostel movie night here each week, complete with free popcorn. It’s located on the mezzanine level just above reception.
Security
Above all else, the security of our guests is our highest priority. CCTV is in operation throughout the building and we follow a strict ‘Guests Only’ policy within the hostel. We use a sophisticated key card system on all doors.
